This week – a week where art and language meet – you’ll draw inspiration from all kinds of artists and poets whose work defies categorisation, from graffiti to collage to theatre to zines. Join expert tutors Sophie Herxheimer (artist and poet) and Tom Jenks (poet, prose writer, publisher and text artist) for a revelatory week of hands-on poem-making and experimentation.

This is your chance to excavate ordinary life and reveal its jewels! You will make, paint, cut, stick, find, draw, rearrange and play with language, colour and ideas. Using a range of techniques, you’ll find new types of clarity and voice.  This course invites people at any stage of their writing/art journey to be part of a revitalising studio of imagination and surprise in the beautiful Shropshire Hills.
